From Toy Overload to Toy Community: We Have a Solution for You

During the 2021 lockdown, our house turned into a giant toy tornado, with books and clothes thrown in for good measure. It was like a never-ending game of Tetris, except the pieces kept getting bigger and more chaotic. We were buried in clutter, and the girls kept outgrowing things at lightning speed.

We tried donating to charity, but they were either closed or wouldn't accept some of what we had. We bought new things, but let's be real - it's expensive and not great for the planet. We sold and found stuff on marketplaces, but dealing with all the scammers, weirdos and lowballers out there was a nightmare. We even joined a toy library, but that still has a fee and is only open a few days a week.

That's when the universe smacked us in the face with a genius idea – What if we could swap goods with other parents nearby? No more sketchy deals (pay me $500 on payID, and I'll send it back to you…?!) or endless scrolling through irrelevant listings. We wanted an mobile app that was made for parents like us to let simple, straightforward swapping happen with other parents in the same boat. So off we went and did the hard yards so you don’t have to and created Sassybae – Australia’s first toy-swapping mobile app.

We know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to keep up with the constant flow of toys, books, and clothes as kids grow and change. Sassybae makes parent’s lives easier by providing a convenient way to swap toys AND save the planet!
